Lunch
I didn't find this nearly as hilarious as Lou did, although I did have to hide in the kitchen & chuckle for a moment before putting on my stern mommy face and then explain why this was not appropriate.

Aww.
Louis has had a rough couple of days. Falling on a cd player, falling down the last 2 stairs, and falling on a pebbled path. What you see here is an assortment of results from each incident.
The good news is he is perfectly happy and despite repetitive head trauma, is acting like his usual self.

Wow. A Louis Activity Update.
Louis is really blowing our minds right now. Here are a few moments I will do my best to recall when he is 13 and I'm feeling like he never pays attention or listens to a thing we say. Yesterday he grabbed a plastic outlet cover (you know, the childproofing ones that make it so you cant stick anything into a socket), and walked directly over to the 1 outlet that needed it, and tried to stick it in. Whoa. Then as if that wasn't impressive enough, he grabbed the alan wrench (which he has only seen once) and walked over to the clothing rack that we assembled with it, and started banging on it. Amazing. Last night I let him hold the nail clipper in the hopes it would coerce him into sitting still so I could trim his nails. My tactic didn't work, but within 2 minutes he had figured out how to twist the part around so that it could be open to clip some nails. Dangerous, but also impressive. Another activity he's been really into lately is running around in circles to make himself dizzy. I have no idea where he learned that since neither myself or Andy are doing this at home, but he seems to get a real kick out of it. Especially when you start stripping him down for bathtime and his onesie comes off and he can see his belly. He will squeal and start beating on his belly and run around laughing like a banshee. I wish I could muster up that kind of unbridled joy for my own belly. Good job Louis, keep it up!

It's not much to look at now, but here's our first look at Louis' future sibling and blog co-star.
(Side view, head on the right and you can make out tiny arms & legs).
We won't know the sex for a few more months. No preference in the matter, but if we could choose anything we'd ask for another baby who is a good sleeper.
