More Beets

The farmers market has a ton of beets right now. This is why I keep feeding them to Lou even though they are a PAIN to clean up. This video is from the other day when Andy and I decided we'd just hose Lou down, since a bath might have signaled his bedtime routine and it wasn't that time of the day yet. Clearly Louis needed to be washed. The hose seemed like the logical way to go. It didn't go so well after the video ended. Even though it's been in the 90's, the hose water was pretty cold and while Louis didn't cry, he seemed slightly disturbed by the whole thing, so we stopped. At least in this video you can see him in his full beet glory.

Dirt Mouth

I thought I was being real slick putting a pot of dirt inside a cardboard box for Louis to play with in the kitchen while I cooked.

"Oh, if I put it in the box it will contain the mess and he'll get to play with the dirt that he keeps walking me towards out the back door and I'll buy myself some time to cook these peaches."

WRONG. Contain the dirt? I must be new.
Instead it went all over the floor as he moved it from the pot to his mouth.
