Choosing Paint Colors

Paralyzed. This is how I have felt for the past few months when it comes to choosing paint colors. Considering we are basically painting EVERY room in the house except the bathroom, there are a lot of decisions to make. Part of the problem is the sheer number of choices. It seems that some sort of external pressure is helpful in moving the process along. When Andy finally said "We HAVE to paint the bedroom, pleease!", we went down to the store, got 3 samples. The next day we went and bought the paint and we both love the results. (see post below). Now that we are having more houseguests and also considering renting out a room for the Inauguration (Einee I am calling you if this goes bad!!) we need to paint the back guest room. This photo says it perfectly. The room has been primed for awhile now. I have my paint deck out. Andy says, "Do It!"
But...but... OK. How about Benjamin Moore Clinton Brown, with BM Almond Bisque? Well, I hope you like it, because that's what is happening, and if you come to visit, this is where you will stay.

Dining Room/ Kitchen

I love our new dining room table. The bench is my favorite part, plus the table is long and can hold a bunch of stuff and still have room to eat on. The kitchen will not be painted the Benjamin Moore "Blue Spa" color you see in the swatches. But, the cool thing about testing paint is that when you like the color but not the location, you come up with ideas for other rooms. This will end up being the color of our basement.

Our Bedroom

We've been slacking on these posts. Which in a way might be a good thing, because we have been really busy getting stuff together. Check out our before and after photos of our bedroom. It came to us as a really dark purple, the only trace that is left is the radiator. After 2 coats of primer, and 2 coats of paint, we have arrived at a green we both love. The paint color is YOLO Colorhouse Water 02. Also, check out the cool lamp we got from Andy's mom!
