Fall is Here

Louis and I took a little stroll today down to a small park where he was able to go down the slide all by himself. It's amazing how fast he is getting around and what better time of year to go out and run around.

In other news, today I learned that children under the age of 19 are required by law to be on a parent's health insurance policy. I believe this to be some temporary legal nonsense, but I am extremely irritated about it. Because of laws like this, I have thoughts of moving to other countries where health care is not a scam. Like France.

Chef Louie Louie

Louis seems to really like the spatula. He has moved on from the wooden spoon and feels he needs a variety of tools now, to get the dish he is cooking just right.
We went to the pediatrician a couple of days ago. He is 23lbs and 30.5" long. He got a vaccine (DTap) and a flu shot. His little leg is swollen and red, but he is in good spirits. He also seems to be on the verge of needing a new nap schedule again. The doctor said sometime between a year and 18 months he would consolidate his naps and eventually end up with one mid-day nap. I have to say that the interim is not pretty. He didn't really nap today. Just bits here and there (like in the car or for 10 minutes in his crib). I AM SO TIRED. This cannot happen again tomorrow. Or ever again. It is not humanly possible for this to continue.
