Garden

We had to pull out the late blight tomato plants. So we've nearly reached the end with our homegrown tomatoes even though its only early August. We still have one plant that might give us a few, but it will be gone soon. We've got a few cucumbers still growing, but for the most part we have called it a day for the summer crop. Also pulled out the zucchini and the okra to make room for our fall garden. Today I put in a row of carrots and swiss chard. It's so hot that's about all I could do, but we will also be planting some cabbage and turnips. Hopefully this will cut down on the need for grocery store runs in October and November when the baby demands all the attention.
