Blizzard Update

When we got up at 5am to feed Louis, Andy looked out the window and said, "Oh we got off light." It lightly snowed last night and then stopped. When it hadn't dumped at 5am we thought we were good. Woke up again at 8:30 and looked out the window. We didn't see anything. No trees, no road. Just white stuff flying everywhere. I have never seen anything like it. All day it kept snowing. Todays snow sealed the deal. This is the snowiest winter in DC on record. The last time we received this much snow was sometime in the 1890's. Andy mentioned that it would have been worse then since they didn't have snow plows. I reminded him that they didn't have cars either, so it probably all evens out. Except come to think of it, it would have been super cold without some 21st century heat. Anyways, these pictures are from today. There is absolutely zero evidence of the path that existed a few days ago. We got my dad to the airport on Tuesday so he could escape during the limited window people had to get out or accept their fate and get cozy. I speak for us all when I say we are nuts from being cooped up for so long.
